OGQ is strengthening its global competitiveness through the recently secured original technology in AI image and video recognition.

OGQ, a digital marketplace for copyrighted content, announced on the 10th that it will acquire 100% of the shares in GYNetworks, an AI image and video recognition company.

OGQ will incorporate ‘OGQ GYN’ as a subsidiary to strengthen its global competitiveness by internalizing core technologies for AI image and video recognition, retaining a skilled technical workforce, developing applied technologies, and advancing the market for copyrighted content.

OGQ GYN is a company operating imagery analysis tools and intelligent safety management, an artificial intelligence system based on AI image recognition technology. In other words, AI image recognition technology can automatically tag image and video content and can be said to be a core technology for image and video providers.

Vision AI that can recognize images and videos is an essential technology. However, a large amount of data assets is required for improvement through continuous learning. In other words, larger amount of data assets generates greater AI learning effects, higher information accuracy, and improved search results.

Based on more than 349M dormant tagged labeling data, OGQ expects to further upgrade its AI image recognition and video tagging technology.

OGQ is planning to adopt a deep tagging technology that will filter the same or similar images and block the content violating architectural copyrights and personality rights to advance its digital content services. Additionally, OGQ is expected to expand into the NFT market by providing copyright filtering technology to its partner companies as well as adopting the same technology in its NFT market.

Bang Seung-on, the CEO of ‘OGQ GYN’, said, “Currently, the leading worldwide platforms have excellent image recognition technology, but the amount of labeled and refined data required for AI learning is still insufficient. Based on data labeling and AI core technology that can recognize it, we will advance the market for copyrighted content and focus on developing core technologies based on original technology to keep expanding the global influence of the commercial content market in the future.”
