- OGQ and POND5 signed an exclusive content supply contract for the Korean market

- Unlimited, ultra-low monthly fee for image, video, and sound source copyrights from AP, Reuters, DJI, NFL, etc.

OGQ has signed an exclusive partnership agreement to provide its services to POND5 in South Korea. OGQ, an IP marketplace platform run by the CEOs Shin Cheol-ho and Lee Hee-woo, will work closely with POND5 to provide unlimited video, image, and music copyrights from AP, Reuters, DJI, NFL, and others at an ultra-low monthly fee. There are some 120,000 POND5 creators expected to be linked to the system to connect with 17M OGQ fans.

POND5 is a global company licensing copyright content such as videos, music, images, after effects, and 3D models. As a global marketplace, there are some 125,000 corporate users and 100M copyrighted content provided worldwide. With more than 30 million high-quality video content to be used in the production of movies and games such as Netflix’s Queen’s Gambit or Call of Duty, POND5 is attracting individual and corporate creators and offers high quality copyrighted content for personal and professional use on TV, movies, advertisements, games, and website production.

This strategic partnership will open up access to world-class copyrighted content for OGQ users as well as already existing 200M OGQ content at an ultra-low monthly fee. All of the POND5 copyrighted content could be found and downloaded from the ‘OGQ Picreative (https://pick.ogq.me/)’ market, which is expected to be launched on March 3.

Intending to solve the recurring problem of complex licensing policies and the high cost of the existing copyrighted content, OGQ plans to launch monthly subscription services. Particularly, by distributing 70% of content sales to its creators, the company expects to improve the creator’s economy as well as manage optimal revenue distribution

‘OGQ Picreative’ has also launched a support program for small business owners to provide unlimited copyrighted content to creators on Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok at a monthly cost of 30,000 KRW. Additionally, the marketplace will provide unlimited copyrighted content for 10,000 KRW/month for those registered before March, so that they can engage in creative activities without worrying about copyrights violation.

Jangwon Choi, general manager of OGQ Market Service Headquarters, said, “Through the partnership with POND5, OGQ will enable 120,000 creators globally to connect with more fans and provide users with high-quality videos and other various content at an affordable price. We will create a new paradigm shift for the market.”

Meanwhile, OGQ is collaborating with NAVER OGQ Market, Afreeca TV OGQ Market, and Samsung, as well as engaging in a copyrighted content joint project with JTBC, thus, expanding its scope into a secondary creative market using broadcaster’s IP.
