Well, that was definitely not anything like what I expected. I suppose it helps a little that I didn’t even grok the thumbnail beyond seeing Sam and Tiffany in there.

This thing has the scope and flexibility of Community and the feel of Knives Out/Glass Onion but somehow with even more charm. Tiffany Haddish’s bumbling, sincere attempts to solve mysteries is so nice when it’s against Sam Richardson doing what he does best — injured innocence mixed with a bit of weird guilt.

Weirdly, I didn’t like Dave Franco in Scrubs but he’s amazing in this and he fits so well into the different-theme-per-episode strategy.

The last thing — Ben Schwartz is a goddamn international treasure.
