From “Young” Music Video

Singer-songwriter Chan Ka released her latest single ‘Young’ accompanying a video depicting struggles between a blind-folded couple, showing us how a relationship can fall to pieces. “Young, using a story of a couple, expresses how we are incapable of getting along with people we find the most intimate, hurting each other eventually.” Chan Ka wrote about the song.

If the theme sounds too literal, the singer soothes the intense relationship with her vocal. Laced with serene guitar riffs and tinkling piano lines, the singer interprets the heartbreak as something inevitable if one is to get mature, and polishes transient melancholy into introspective personal growth, just as her previous single “Silence”.

Posting covering videos on the internet at first, Chan Ka released her first original single “Reminiscence” in 2017. Since then, she has been performing in different venues and music festivals. “Young” and “Silence” come from her upcoming debut album “Shades of Blue” scheduled this year.
