Guess who’s back…back again…
Folks, I’ve started a new newsletter called: Baby Giraffe. I’ll be posting there at least weekly, as I relearn the wonderful world of Substack. Let me virtually introduce myself: My name is Nia. I’m 28 and unsure about my goals in life. At 16, I thought I knew. I wrote a journal entry at 16 romanticizing adulthood, dreaming about a life in New York City as a freelance writer:
“I kind of know what I want to do with my life. I hope that five years from now I’ll be living in a flat in downtown Manhattan with a muscly, gorgeous-eyed, tall, artistic, great-haired, amazing boyfriend with an adorable little pet going through a college in New York trying to get a degree in English Literature while interning for NYLON/Rolling Stones and getting money for the flat from various freelance writing jobs.”
Right after this, is the most deliciously hopeful bit of all:
“I think it’s a great plan for…
