Hey folks, we’re back! Hot off the production line, is a Alpha Two.

We fixed a few critical bugs which disrupted gameplay. Now, you will (hopefully) stop plunging into the abyss of nothingness and stop flying into infinite sky.

💯

These bugs were pretty funky. A handful of different things cause them to happen, and it has been pretty hard to predict. So, while we continue to iron out the root cause of them, we added some “safety nets” to help the game recover itself.

  • The cause of the infinite sky bug was that the skull could get itself into an impossible scenario, which causes the physics engine to flip out and throw the skull extremely fast. So fast, that you outpaced the “terrain generator”. The skull now has a terminal velocity, so regardless of what causes it to move it can only travel a maximum speed. It’s pretty high, so this shouldn’t affect gameplay.
  • The skull could get itself either wedged into the ground, or fall thru the ground entirely. Now, if we detect either scenario, we snap the skull back above ground.

We’ve also tweaked a few gameplay elements, like the size of Samantha’s mouth target and the potency of Darmite’s daggers.

Bragging Rights

We’ve been watching players get competitive, so we added some fuel to the fire.

Hit the BRAG button when your game is over, and you can share your tremendous achievement:

We’re aiming to release an Alpha update approximately every week, so be sure to update on your Apple TV / iPhone by opening the TestFlight app. You should get an automatic reminder emailed to you, in case you forget.
