Recap of OKEx’s Presence at DELTA Summit
This October means a lot not only to us, but also Malta and blockchain and crypto industry. The DELTA Summit was held from 3rd to 5th at InterContinental Malta, gathering a hundred of top-notch industry players and thousands of participants from around the world.
The DELTA Summit is an important endeavor for the Maltese government to become the world’s blockchain island. The 3-day agenda features ICO pitches, keynote presentations, as well as panel discussions by government officials, industry leaders, technology experts, and influencers, covering some of the most-concerned issues, such as blockchain applications, digital assets management, regulations and compliance, as well as finance and banking.
For the first time, OKEx was very proud to participate in this official event of the Blockchain Island as a member of the local community. We would like to take this chance to share with you some of the many moments that excited us here.
We made a stunning entrance
Our booth could be easily spotted right at the main entrance with an open design and a big lit arch. A pride of our team, the booth made a great place for every visitor to mingle and talk blockchain and crypto.
Andy Cheung, our Head of Operations, was there to meet everyone
Over the 3 days of the Summit, our Head of Operations Andy Cheung and his team were at the booth to meet and greet visitors who came to talk about listing, trading, partnership, or job opportunities.
Our CRO Tim Byun joined the stage
On day 2, Tim Byun, OKEx’s Chief Risk Officer and Head of Government Relations, joined the stage as panelist to share his opinions on how to build a blockchain community in Malta. He was also interviewed by Cointelegraph after the stage discussion.
We co-hosted a VIP drink session with MSX and DELTA Summit
On Oct 4, OKEx co-hosted a VIP drink session with Malta Stock Exchange and DELTA Summit. After Tim and Joseph Portelli, Chairman of Malta Stock Exchange extended their warm welcome to the participating government officials, industry leaders, and partners, we started to enjoy the great time over wine and nibbles.
