CASE STUDY: KURZSCHLUSS 2014
In 2014, Kurzschluss, a pop-up club, opened its doors for the second time in Ljubljana Slovenia with line-up that is more typical for festivals rather than night clubs. During the 12 nights, spread out through December, artists such as Umek, Joris Voorn, Christian Varela, Pendulum, Faul and Wad Ad, Laibach, Sister Bliss, Lisa Millett and many others performed to the ears of over 15.000 visitors which have for the first time ever used Olaii Cashless system.
Organizers of Kurzschluss have been searching for ways to simplify their business process — a way to optimize the sales and maximize the amount of customers served per hour. Becoming a fully cashless night-club was the right decision. With the implementation of Olaii Cashless organizers have achieved:
1. 25% increase in revenue
2. Greatly reduced human error at the POS registers
3. Faster throughput — processed over 50.000 transactions
4. Increase in customer satisfaction — shorter queues at the bar
5. Increased security — all cash was deposited at a single location
The set-up included 15 POS stations and 4 TopUP locations within the venue as well as several mobile POS stations used by the sponsor promoters. Additionally Olaii provided server cluster at the location in order to provide 100% uptime — giving the organizers full security of an online system with the fail-over protection in case the location went offline. That meant that Olaii was able to process payments even in case of an internet or power outages.
Our staff provided full 24/7 support on-site during the events. The staff had zero issues using the system and has expressed several compliments regarding the system simplicity and speed — a transaction needed less than fraction of a second to complete.
The whole experience was positive for both staff and visitors, and all the benefits of Olaii Cashless system were so impressive that organizers have immediately decided to trust us with their next reincarnation of the Kurzschluss in December 2015.
