Georgi Kay Says It All On ‘Scary People (Re-Imagined)’

Indie-pop artist Georgi Kay releases the re-imagined version of her anti-hate anthem, “Scary People.”

According to Georgi, “When I first moved to L.A. from my home country of Australia, Trump was on the verge of becoming the president of the United States. It was an extremely politically charged moment suspended in history, not just for those living and seeking sanctuary within the US, but for the rest of the world.

“At this time, I was also beginning a new era within my music. I was on the brink of creating what was to become my unmistakably dark yet euphoric trademark sound.

“This new era all started with the heavily politically charged and mass worldwide fear-influenced anti-hate anthem ‘Scary People.’”

Georgie met CD PLAYER in 2019. The two teamed up to collaborate on a makeover of “Scary People,” injecting the song with vitalizing energy and fresh meaning for world on the brink of being swallowed up in darkness.
