Teaching enrichment once a week is a great way to introduce students to 3D printing. When coming into a new class, identifying, and remembering student names the first few times can be difficult. An old standby is to provide labels for students to write their names, or to use name tags on lanyards.

Why not 3D print the name tags? With a prepared class list, and a simple template, 3D name tags can be printed for each student. If printed in a white filament, students can customize them during class down-time.

An easy first Tinkercad project is to have students create their own name key-tags once they have learned some basic skills, making this a great sources of inspiration for students later in the course.

Giving students a tangible object they can interact with is a great way to get students interested in 3D printing and learning Computer Aided Design (CAD) by getting them hooked with a personalized memento.
