Students learned about the coral reef and ways to explore the ocean. They created their own paper submarines as a fun craft. Teachers did the “sink or float” demo with the class, and students made predictions about what objects would sink or float in water to learn about watercraft.

Students also learned how sonar is used in the ocean. Then they made an advertisement for a piece of technology that relates to oceanography.

We are having a great Week 3. We are learning about Oceanography! Our parents are so excited about summer reading and writing gains.
