Two-year Oliversary: customer conversations
We launched Oliver Space two years ago to challenge the notion that high quality furnishing is inaccessible — that it takes forever, is hard to make the perfect choice, and too expensive.
I’ve been humbled by the love and support of our customers, and this past summer, set out to learn more about why Oliver Space has resonated with them so much.
Our conversations ultimately led to this video which best captures what it feels like to be a customer— give it a watch! And read on to get a quick take on what we heard:
- They feel at home fast: three-day white glove service for free
Laura was trying to move in and host a house-warming dinner party in the same week and didn’t yet have anywhere to actually host her guests. She turned to Oliver and within 3 days, had a fully assembled dining space. Oliver’s unparalleled delivery speed coupled with free assembly allowed her to focus on menu creation instead of logistics, “If I had to assemble [it] myself, I would still not have a dining table right now. It was the easiest, smoothest experience possible.”
2. They feel zero stress when shopping: free annual swaps
Dena was moving into a new home and decided to start with a blank slate, taking it as an opportunity to revamp her style. After hours scouring the internet for furniture she realized Oliver’s curated styles and free swap gave her peace of mind with her choices. She said, “I like variety, it gives me a chance to imagine if I don’t get it right the first time [there’s] a little bit of cushion to change my mind. Oliver gave me more freedom.”
3. They feel like they can access elevated quality: affordable monthly payments
Johari, like so many of our customers, told us he had been waiting until he moved into his “forever” home to invest in nice furniture — but the ability to pay over time at 0% interest with Oliver meant he didn’t have to wait until he settled down. Tricia talked about Oliver as a way to be more adventurous with her furniture choices rather than the muted, conservative choices she’d stuck with in the past.
