Game as a meta

We launched OliveX Genesis 3 months ago with great success. We are now launching our follow up second collection as a free mint — The Herald Eggs. Play Styx for your chance to get some eggs!

We believe that games are an innovative way of bringing people into our NFT collections. It’s fun and it’s a chance for us to engage people with our storytelling and lore. Previously we launched a mini-experience called Save and Sacrifice where you can choose to save or sacrifice another player, over 50K people played the game. That experiment gave us the confidence to build Styx as an even more fun and unique experience!

Choose your adventure story game

The story in Styx is like an onion with lots of layers (over 650 possible scenes) to see and multiple branching paths to choose from. Your first play through of the game may only give you a small sliver of the whole story. When you replay the story, some events may repeat but from a different perspective, but every decision you make will count. There are 9 different roles you may get depending on your choices. Choose wisely.

Lots of easter eggs

There are mysteries to uncover, Easter Eggs to find and much more. For you avid story-lovers, you will want to play the main path and then find a way to play The Golden Path to understand the full context of the story.

There are a total of 11 roles to find but you only need 1 role to be eligible for the rewards raffles.

For the hardcore among you, you can try to unlock all 11 roles. You will earn the Map Maker role if you get all 9 roles which will unlock The Golden Path and entitle you to a holder reward, but hurry, guaranteed Map Maker rewards will be limited to the first 30 to get the role, from then on all those that achieve Map Maker will go into a raffle.

Rewards

There will be different rewards depending on the type of player you’re going to be so read carefully and make sure you get your eggs!

OliveX Genesis holders

• Holder: Get a choice for a guaranteed reward from a 100ETH prize pool and an extra exclusive free mint if you’ve used up all your 10 codes.
• You get to play the “Golden path” which is exclusive to holders. You MUST play at least the golden path to be eligible for your guaranteed rewards.
• At the end of the 4 weeks you get a choice between guaranteed rewards from a 100+ $ETH prize pool. Pages and Wishes will affect the value of the rewards so holders will need to be strategic in the rewards they take — more to come later.
• Each holder will also be given 10 invite codes (per NFT) to send out to non-holders. The roles gained by the 10 players will affect the holder’s egg type:
• If all 10 codes are used up within 2 weeks, a holder will get an extra gold egg.
• If all 10 codes given out are used up within 4 weeks, a holder will get an extra silver egg

Non holders

• No Golden Code: You will be entered into a raffle for various prizes with the grand prize being an OliveX Genesis NFT depending on the role you receive in your first play through.
• With golden code: In addition to the raffle, you will be guaranteed mint of an egg. Go into the OliveX discord to ask for codes from holders.

If you have a Golden Code, go back to the Styx side where you connect your wallet and discord. On the left hand side, you can enter your Golden Code.

To be eligible for these rewards there are a couple of criteria that players need to meet:

• Players must complete the Styx game and receive at least 1 role, share their result on Twitter, join the OliveX Discord, connect and link their wallet.
• For holders, you must complete The Golden Path and receive The Guardian role to be eligible for the guaranteed holder rewards. We also recommend holders play the main path to enjoy more of the story and to enter the raffles for Limbo but you cannot enter any Golden Codes yourselves.
• Make sure you still have your OliveX Genesis and that it is not listed by the time Styx ends, otherwise you won’t be entitled to the holder’s rewards.
• We discourage multi accounting and players found to be using multiple accounts will be disqualified.

Step by step on how to play and share

1. We recommend you play on the desktop. If you play on mobile, please play in landscape mode and be careful not to flip your screen or you will risk reloading (losing) your progress
2. If you lose internet connection there is no need to reload. Before you reach the end, make sure to reconnect to the internet so you can see your final result — only then is your progress saved
3. Once you’ve finished your first playthrough, press the share button when you see the result card
4. Screenshot that result card and share it on Twitter
5. If you’d like to see your collection of roles, tap it from the Legacy page
6. Rewards will be given out after the Styx event ends and results are calculated which will be announced in Discord
