How to participate in the Olympus Labs App MVP Beta Testing Programme

  1. Indicate your interest by signing up here: https://goo.gl/forms/WKBY7wFK26C0VLRt1
  2. For Android users, go to https://olympuslabs.io/web/mvp and download the .apk file. (Note: Please only download the official beta app .apk file from our official website. We will not be responsible for any loss due to phishing scams.)
  3. For iOS users, go to Apple App Store, download and install ‘TestFlight’

3. You should receive an email invitation from one of our developers to test the Olympus Labs App on TestFlight.

4. Click on the link and you will be directed to TestFlight. On ‘Apps’, click ‘install’ to install the Olympus Labs App on your iOS device.

5. Launch the app! But to start testing, you will need to have some testing ETH on your beta app wallet. Here’s how.

First, you will see your beta app wallet address on the homepage of the app. This is also where you will see your cryptocurrency portfolio.

Copy your beta app wallet address.

Next, go to https://gitter.im/kovan-testnet/faucet and join the chatroom (take note that you will need to sign in with your github or twitter account). Paste your copied beta app wallet address in the space below (as shown) and press enter. Take note that the faucet will take some time to send the ETH over to your beta app address.

You have successfully requested for testing ETH to your beta app wallet. Please wait awhile for the transaction be to reflected in your beta app wallet. Once the amount is reflected in the app, you may proceed to test the features of the Olympus Beta App. Note that these ETH are NOT REAL and are for testing purpose only.

NOTE: We are using Kovan network for the Beta version of the app. PLEASE DO NOT SEND ANY REAL ETH OR CRYPTOCURRENCIES TO THE ADDRESS IN THE BETA APP. If you have already done so, DO NOT delete the app and contact the team via email or telegram for help.

In the case where you are unable to access the Kovan Gitter and thus are unable to obtain testing ETH, you may contact us at the Beta Testing Telegram group for help.

Beta Testing Rules and Bounty Programme

To recognize your efforts and the important role in finalizing and improving our app before releasing it to the public, we offer a bounty for reporting certain qualifying bugs and suggestions to improve the app. Please review the following program rules before you report any bug or suggestion. By participating in this program, you agree to be bound by these rules.

Minimum reward is 1 MOT (which you will get upon signing up) and you will get additional reward for every bug found and we may award higher amounts based on the severity or creativity of the vulnerability found.

Please note that the submission’s quality will affect the level of compensation. A high quality submission includes:

(i) an explanation of how the bug can be reproduced

(ii) a failing test case

(iii) a fix that makes the test case pass

(iv) on what service is the bug found

(v) value of financial, reputational and other risks arising from the bug

High quality submissions may be awarded amounts higher than the amounts specified above.

House rules:

  • First come, first serve. Issues that have already been submitted by another user or are already known (such as these) to the team are not eligible for bounty rewards.
  • Provide us a reasonable amount of time to fix the issue before publishing it elsewhere.
  • You do not exploit a security issue you discover for any reason. (This includes demonstrating additional risk, such as attempted compromise of sensitive company data or probing for additional issues.)
