Why do I have to register and undergo the KYC check?

The primary objective of the token sale registration process is to enforce a mandatory Know-Your-Customer (KYC) check to prevent identity theft, terrorist financing, money laundering, and financial fraud. It allows our team to better understand our token holders and manage our risks prudently.

At Olympus Labs, we believe in full compliance with jurisdictional laws and regulations to combat money laundering and terrorism financing. We take anti money laundering (AML) and counter terrorist financing (CFT) seriously, and we will not condone the misuse of of our platform for any illicit purposes. Therefore, we have benchmarked ourselves to KYC standards typically adopted by banks and financial institutions globally.

How do I register?

Step 1: Visit the official registration site

During the registration period (27 November 2017 to 3 December 2017), you should go to https://kyc.olympuslabs.io/.

Note: Information regarding the token sale will ONLY be disseminated on our official communication channels: our official website and our official telegram group.

Step 2: Enter your email

On the registration page you will be asked to enter your email.

Step 3: Enter a one-time confirmation code

You should receive an email from Olympus Labs containing a one-time login confirmation code. Copy this code and use it to set up your account. Please keep your confirmation code confidential, and do not share it with anyone else.

Step 4: Read thoroughly and accept the Token Sale Terms & Conditions

After the confirmation code has been verified, you will be directed to the Token Sale Terms & Conditions page.

Please take the time to carefully read the Terms & Conditions. If you need to, you can always return to the registration system at a later time, after you have thoroughly reviewed the terms and clarified any questions you may have.

Step 5: Enter Ethereum wallet address

After your account is set up, you will be asked to provide an Ethereum wallet address and your investment amount (in ETH).

The Ethereum wallet address must be an account that you control (i.e., you have access to the private key for the wallet). Examples of wallets that are appropriate for the token sale include MyEtherWallet, imToken, Ledger, Trezor etc. You will use the same address to contribute your Ethereum to Olympus Labs’ address during the token sale later, and a corresponding amount of MOT will be sent to this address. Please ensure that you have input the correct Ethereum wallet address, as this can only be set ONCE; no future amendments will be permitted after submission.

Note: DO NOT submit a wallet address from an exchange. Olympus Labs will not be liable for any loss of funds from exchange-based wallets.

Step 6: Personal details

After submitting your Ethereum wallet address, you will be asked to input your personal details. The mandatory fields are:

First name
Last name
Passport/ID/driver’s license number
Birthday
Nationality
Gender
Country of residence

You can enter your name in your native language, as long as it matches the name in your identity document.

Step 7: Identity documents

After filling your personal details, you will be asked to provide identifying documents in the form of 1) a copy of your identity document in PNG (.png) or JPEG (.jpg) format; and 2) a photograph of you holding the identity document.

Document uploads may take a while. To prevent loss of data, please do not close your browser window during the upload process.

Note: To ensure that your KYC process goes as smoothly as possible, please provide images in high resolution, and ensure that details on the identity documents are CLEARLY LEGIBLE. The documents must also contain the characters of your name, and they must match the name entered in Step 7.

Step 8: Submission + status

Prior to submission, you must check and confirm that the information and verification documents are accurate. Each submission is subjected to an automated online check and a manual verification check.

After submission, you will receive a second email from Olympus Labs to confirm your registration submission. This email will also contain the details of your registration.

The KYC check will take some time. Between the submission and outcome, the status will either be “pending”, which denotes that the submission has passed the automated check and is ready to be checked manually, or “failed”, meaning that the automated check was unsuccessful.
