1. There are only a handful of classic Disney films where the main character’s parents aren’t dead or don’t die in the movie

Think about it…the vast majority of Disney films, especially those we consider “classics,” feature characters with at least one absent or dead parent. Princess Jasmine’s mother was dead, Cinderella’s father dies, Belle’s mother wasn’t mentioned, both of Anna and Elsa’s parents die, etc. There are only a few movies where this isn’t the case, (“101 Dalmatians,” “Peter Pan,” “Lady and the Tramp,” and “Mulan”). Rumor has it, this was partially due to the Walt Disney felt guilty about his own mother’s death.

2. The actress who provided the voice of Lilo in “Lilo & Stitch” (Daveigh Chase), also played Samara in “The Ring”

3. Disney once sold “Old Yeller” dog food. It was recalled in 2010 after a family alleged that their dog died after eating it

7. Mickey Mouse once starred in a comic where he sold speed

Not only are Mickey and Goofy seen consuming psychoactive drugs in the cartoon, but they also start a business selling them—and give speed to two characters without their consent.

8. Walt Disney himself helped design these creepy-ass Mickey Mouse gas masks

About a thousand of these masks were produced and distributed in the 1942. They were said to be designed to fit children from 18 months to four-years- old.

9. Actual human skeletal remains were once used in the “Pirates of the Caribbean” ride at Disneyland

Back in 1967, Disneyland Imagineers used real human skeletal remains from the UCLA Medical Centre while working on the “Pirates of the Caribbean” ride. However, according to reports, they’ve long since been removed and replaced with fabricated replicas.

10. There’s an underground tunnel system beneath Disney World

The tunnels exist so that employees can easily get around the park—but it’s kinda creepy to think that while you’re wandering around on the pathways, there could be someone walking underneath you!

11. When it first opened, the Penny Arcade at Disneyland featured .22 caliber rifles and real bullets

12. “Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride” at Disneyland ends with Mr. Toad driving into a train then going to hell
