Meu Recife increases citizen participation by mobilizing the community around campaigns that affect Recife.
When local citizens heard developers were looking to build at Porto de Galinhas without consulting the community, they contacted Meu Recife. The organization worked to mobilize a campaign to protect the ecosystem.
Minha Sampa empowers citizens to campaign for changes they want to see in São Paulo.
Minha Sampa organized citizens to campaign for Paulista Aberta, a public space in São Paulo that brings together people from all walks of life to build a more inclusive city.
By using Meu Rio’s tools, Rio de Janeiro residents have effectively joined together to campaign for change and address issues in their communities.
When the government wanted to demolish one of Rio’s best schools ahead of the 2014 World Cup, Meu Rio partnered with parents to save it.
