Safety in DeFi; OCP Security Review
Pausing USDO minting, hardening platform smart contracts.
In light of recent DeFi hacks and CREAM exploits we are taking pre-emptive steps to further secure the safety of users and their assets on our platforms.
Beginning immediately - USDO minting has been temporarily paused, however users can still repay outstanding debt.
We are working closely with a freelance security expert who will perform deep penetration testing of our smart contracts, beginning with VAULT.
As outlined in a previous Medium, we already had planned a transition from COMP to VAULT style minting. This process will now be expediated.
Once VAULT passes security investigation we will enable minting for additional assets there.
We expect this two-fold approach to platform safety will be an ongoing process. Audits are excellent peace of mind, but more important are these secondary security checks, anticipating what a malicious entity might attempt. Checks from someone who can wear several hats, black and white.
