On August 28, 2019, OmniSparx CEO and Co-Founder, Charles Kwon, joined the OmniSparx Telegram Channel for an AMA. Here’s the transcript:

Charles Kwon, OmniSparx CEO and Co-Founder

Judy @OmniSparx: Welcome everyone to the OmniSparx AMA! Welcome @Charles007T. Can you introduce yourself to the channel?

Charles Kwon: Good day! I am one of the two cofounders of OmniSparx and the CEO. Very excited to be with you today!

Judy @OmniSparx: Tell us why you started OmniSparx

Charles Kwon: I founded OmniSparx after seeing how valuable open community can be to organizations and how challenging it is to manage them. It’s hard to know who is real and who isn’t. It’s hard to find the true believers and to make sure that you thank them and amplify what they are saying and it’s hard to keep track of all of the different social channels people are using such as twitter, facebook, instagram, telegram, reddit, discord and on and on.

Judy @OmniSparx: What types of organizations could use OmniSparx?

Charles Kwon: Good question!

Organizations looking to build community — especially open communities with no boundaries

Like — Brands with loyalty programs or brands that want to build loyalty programs, individuals building personal brands and decentralized organizations all need the product

They all struggle to build and mobilize their communities and to reward the people who really contribute to the brand.

Judy @OmniSparx: Can you give some examples of what these communities are struggling with?

Charles Kwon: Sure — a lot of these open communities on social media or IM get overloaded with fake people and bots

Moreover, it’s hard to determine which members really add value to a community — and its finding these valuable members and rewarding them to help build the community that make these communities valuable.

Judy @OmniSparx: What stage is the product at?

Charles Kwon: We are excited because the product is currently in-market!

Organizations have started onboarding to our beta program in early December; following the beta group’s usage the beta list was oversubscribed, with over 30 projects seeking to use the platform!

Even in beta, OmniSparx solves key pain points/use cases for community managers.

Brands and organizations are currently required to directly and frequently engage communities in dozens of chat apps, social media channels, and online forums. Keeping up is a 24/7, and next to impossible task.

OmniSparx’s platform makes this work manageable, by bringing all conversations into one dashboard, allowing open organization members to communicate one-to-one and one-to-many — at scale!

Judy @OmniSparx: Can you describe the OmniSparx architecture?

Charles Kwon: OmniSparx has a dual function architecture:

-Saas based Community Management — single dashboard view of all community members, activity, across all social channels

-Planned Community member app- web based and mobile app with wallet for member authentication, receipt of rewards, voting

- We plan to manage incentives using a points based reward systems, or a reward token whichever the organization chooses. We plan for our token to be a non tradable (ERC20), redeemable for SWAG or experiences from a community member’s favorite organization. In the future (based on market adoption and conditions) we may choose to implement a tradable token

Judy @OmniSparx: How are you using the blockchain?

Charles Kwon: We leverage the blockchain for member authentication and to track and manage the reward flow between the organization and the members.

Judy @OmniSparx: Are you leveraging any open protocols?

Charles Kwon: Powering the system we are building a POWERFUL UNIQUE PROTOCOL used across communities to manage Authentication, Governance, Incentives

Judy @OmniSparx: Who are your competitors?

Charles Kwon: No other platform we know of — connects social communications and incentives in one platform. Communications platforms such as Hootsuite and HubSpot are competitors as regards social communication, but these: don’t integrate an incentive system, don’t work across all social channels used by crypto communities, don’t appear to have systems for authentication on their roadmap, and aren’t tokenized — their business model is a classic centralized one.

Judy @OmniSparx: How do organizations currently use your platform?

Charles Kwon: Community managers are using our platform in its current state to make the job of managing communication on social channels possible. Right now, the task of communicating one-to-one and one-to-many, 24/7, across dozens of social channels is unmanageable. OmniSparx brings all conversations into one platform, and helps managers get a single view of their community members, regardless of the (multiple) social channels they are on.

Judy @OmniSparx: Which organizations are using your platform?

Charles Kwon: Our interest list has 35+ organizations signed up — across personal brands, decentralized communties and open source communities. We’re launching with a smaller group who prefer to remain private for now.

Judy @OmniSparx: What’s your go-to-market strategy?

Charles Kwon: Our GTM is to work with our enthusiastic early Open Communities who will be using our platform as a SaaS based solution

We will leverage the membership of these communities to extend into adjacent open communities

Judy @OmniSparx: Let’s open it up to our community. Any questions?

John Tressler: yes…..Charles, I use twitter and telegram to manage a community of 20k tech users — across these users there are 3 different certification levels. Can I segment the users by level and manage each level different ?

Also.. Do you have a tape demo you can post so we can see the dashboard view the community manager would use ?

Charles Kwon: Yes John — the advantage of our platform is to be able to segment your user base by different levels and categories. we can use your specific segmentation or other segmentation

We do have a demo — if you are interested, feel free to reach out to Judy to set up a time to see the demo

Sylvan Petrel: Hi Charles. How would you describe your team?

Charles Kwon: We have an amazing and experienced team — with decades of experience building enterprise software, SaaS, Social Media and AI/ML companies!

Leadership has an average of 20 years success launching startups and managing growth companies at significant scale.

John Tressler: One more if I may….I read the press release about Roger Ver’s investing in OmniSparx, nice endorsement!

Can you tell me more about that ?

Charles Kwon: Including building the Microsoft Federal Government business from $0M to $300M!

We are very excited to have Roger Ver as an investor and advisor in our project. Roger believes that by leveraging the OmniSparx community platform, bitcoin.com will be leveraging the thought leaders in community engagement to help continue to grow the community.

Judy @OmniSparx: Thanks @Charles007T for spending time on the channel and for answering our questions!

Charles Kwon: My pleasure — we value our community so if you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us
