Event DigitalOn — Digital transformation — Business opportunities in Montenegro
On 26th November we participated in a conference organized by AMM (Association of Montenegrin Managers) at the Hilton Hotel in Podgorica to be the part of the discussion about the importance of Digital Transformation within of the Montenegrin Public Administration. The goal that the entrepreneurs themselves showed is to reinvent the public sector; the digital revolution, in fact, must keep pace with national requirements and needs, which align with what is happening in the near international realities.
According to the Association of Managers, in fact, the digital transformation process is no longer a mere service but a true business channel. In this model, the State and the economy must find solutions that are able to connect business needs, align them with new technologies and start a digital acceleration process that must involve all the actors, including in particular managers and local institutions .
Similarly, as confirmed by the event organizers themselves, there is currently no willingness on the part of operators in the public sector to change and, as is known, there is always a certain kind of reluctance for changes. For this reason the step towards digital transformation must be gradual but, at the same time, it must at all costs be set in motion as soon as possible.
In conclusion, innovation is one of the great ways to develop the nation’s economy and this is the new challenge for the public sector, so that it does not lag behind other neighboring nations.
It is important to empower the citizens themselves, through the development of a new mentality oriented to the promotion and re-evaluation of technologies. This must necessarily be supported by public investments, in order to allow companies on the one hand to invest in the change of the public sector and, on the other, to the various resources to be able to start this change through special training courses and / or new solutions able to speed up the learning process.
