How to Participate in the Octopus Network IDO
- This will be the only IDO for Octopus Network
- The ticker symbol for our token is $OCT
- 2.5% of total $OCT will be offered in the IDO, which is 250,000 tokens
- Participants can only use $NEAR to purchase $OCT
About the IDO platform
Octopus Network selected Skyward Finance as the exclusive IDO platform. We believe Skyward’s streaming time-based auction will provide a fairer opportunity for supporters of Octopus Network to participate in the IDO.
Skyward Finance provides mechanisms for initial price discovery and token distribution through streaming time-based auctions that are accessible to the general public in a decentralized way, while being resistant to front-running, price manipulations, and sybil attacks.
Participants could deposit funds from now until the sale ends.
NOTE: The price of $OCT is not fixed, it is determined by the number of $NEAR tokens deposited in the pool. If you believe the price of $OCT is too high, you could withdraw $NEAR tokens from the pool at anytime. On the other hand, if you believe the price of $OCT is a bargain, you could deposit more $NEAR in the pool. All operations must be completed before the sale ends.

Step 1: Go to Octopus Network’s sale page on Skyward

Step 2: Logon using your NEAR wallet
If you don’t have a NEAR wallet, please create one first. https://near.org/blog/getting-started-with-the-near-wallet/
Step 4: Deposit funds
Enter the amount of $NEAR tokens you’d like to deposit, then click “Deposit NEAR”
After 2–10 seconds, you should see a results page.
Your deposit amount and the current price of $OCT will be displayed here.
Step 5: Invite others with your referral link to earn 50% commission from the referral pool for you AND your invited friends.
We will award 1% of funds deposited from your referral to you and your invited friend. (50% each)
