Red Envelope Assistant Startup Guide

This is the Red Envelope (RE) Menu brought to you by Omnity. All you need to do is open a private chat with @RE02bot in Telegram to play.

➡️Send RE — Send a Red Envelope to a User or many Red Envelopes to a Group.

➡️My RE — Bring up a list of the Red Envelopes you’ve already created and their statis.

Here they are:

By typing any one of these commands, the bot will return some instructions.

Let’s look at what happens with the /create command next.

How to Create a Red Envelope

In the RE Bot Menu, you can click “Create RE” or type /create in the command line and the bot will return the following instructions:

Let’s break down the above instructions —

Create RE command:

/create [amount] [number]

➡️For example, /create 500 5

This creates 5 Red Envelopes containing a random amount of Runes each, totaling 500.

💡Adding the F flag creates Red Envelopes containing a “fixed” amount of Runes in each Red Envelope.

➡️For example, /create 500 10 F

This creates 10 Red Envelopes with exactly 50 Runes each, totaling 500.

✒️You can also add a message of up to 140 characters to the Red Envelope!

➡️For example, /create 500 5 Best Wishes!

Example 1: Fixed Amount

You entered: /create 1000 20 F °˖✧◝(⁰▿⁰)◜✧˖°

This means you created 20 Red Envelopes with a total of 1000 Runes.

The amount of amount of each Red Envelope is Fixed at 50, and the gift message is: °˖✧◝(⁰▿⁰)◜✧˖°

Here is what it looks like when people SNATCH your Red Envelope. Notice that each Red Envelope contains a Fixed amount of Runes:

Example 2: Random Amount

You entered: /create 1000 20 Big Announcement Tonight! Stay Tuned!

This means you created 20 Red Envelopes with a total of 1000 Runes.

The amount of Runes in each Red Envelope is random, and the gift message is: Big Announcement Tonight! Stay Tuned!

Here is what it looks like when people SNATCH your Red Envelope. Notice that each Red Envelope contains a Random amount of Runes.

How to Send a Red Envelope to a Group

After creating the Red Envelope, you will see the following page which prompts you to send the Red Envelope to a group.

By clicking on “Select a Group” you will see a list of all of your groups and contacts you can choose from to send your Red Envelope.

👉NOTE: As mentioned above, before you can send your Red Envelope to a Group or a User, you must first share the @REO2bot with that Group or Individual.

How to Send a Red Envelope to an Individual

When creating a Red Envelope for an individual, you need to create a single Red Envelope at once.

For example:

You entered: /create 1000 1 Have an epic day!

This means you created one Red Envelope with a total amount of 1000.

The gift message is: Have an epic day!

Because there is only one Red Envelope created, you will now see the following page which prompts you to send the Red Envelope to either a Group or a User.

By clicking on “Select a User,” you will see a list of all your individual Telegram friends to choose from.

👉[Remember, you must send the @RE02bot to the User first before sending the User a Red Envelope.]

How to Send a Red Envelope Later

If you created a Red Envelope, but don’t have time to send it, you can always send it later.

To send it, you will need to know its Red Envelope ID [No.]

To pull up a list of all of the Red Envelopes you’ve created, either click “My RE” in the RE Bot Menu, or type /list

You will then see a list of all of the Red Envelopes you created and their status:

Status:

➡️Sent: sent

➡️Unsent: not sent

➡️Expired: Red Envelopes expire in 24 hours.

➡️Revoked: If a Red Envelope expires and Runes are remaining in it, you can Revoke them back to your wallet.

In the first column of this list, we can see the Red Envelope IDs for all the Red Envelopes we created.

№364 is not yet sent. Let’s send it now!

Type /send 364

After sending, we can type /list again and see that RE 364 is sent:

How to Revoke a Red Envelope

Red Envelopes are live for snatching for 24 hours, then they expire and no one can SNATCH.

What happens if a Red Envelope you created and sent expires and not all the Runes are snatched?

You can revoke them back to your wallet. Here’s how:

First, let’s pull up a list of Red Envelopes again.

Type /list

We can see that Red Envelope 330 is expired and 4666.69 Runes remain unclaimed! I want them back!

Type /revoke 330 to send these 4666.69 Runes to your bot wallet.

Let’s check our list again.

Great, the Runes were Revoked to our wallet.

Want to double-check?

Type /wallet and you will see the Revoked Runes added back to your wallet balance.

👉[Your RE wallet is easy to use and incredibly convenient, but it’s not suitable for the long-term storage of large amounts of assets.]

Minting and Sending Cross-chain Transfers

Red Envelope supports minting Runes on BTC and transferring Runes across chains. Red Envelopes also supports transferring ICP tokens to your RE wallet.

Let’s walk through some transactions to get you more familiar with what you can do.

  1. You can transfer $RICH from RE wallet to an ICP wallet.
  2. You can transfer $ICP from RE wallet to an ICP wallet.
  3. You can transfer $RICH from your RE wallet to a BTC wallet.
  4. You can mint HOPE-YOU-GET-RICH Runes with $BTC. [Mint is closed.]
  5. You can transfer HOPE-YOU-GET-RICH Runes from BTC wallet to your RE wallet.
  6. You can transfer $RICH from an ICP wallet to your RE wallet.

How to transfer HOPE-YOU-GET-RICH Runes to an ICP Wallet

Transfer $RICH or $ICP to an external ICP wallet

Type /transfer or click “Transfer” on the RE Bot Menu.

The Transfer command instructions will appear. Let’s break this down:

Transfer command:

/transfer [Amount] [Address]

➡️ For example: /transfer 100 du3eh-nms77-f6msf-6ucqy-ltj4o-fg4ah-ao4ky-t5bpy-w6khb-4egvg-dqe

This command says to transfer 100 HOPE YOU GET RICH Runes to ICP wallet: du3eh-nms77-f6msf-6ucqy-ltj4o-fg4ah-ao4ky-t5bpy-w6khb-4egvg-dqe

➡️ For example: /transfer ICP 100 du3eh-nms77-f6msf-6ucqy-ltj4o-fg4ah-ao4ky-t5bpy-w6khb-4egvg-dqe

This command says to transfer 100 $ICP tokens to ICP wallet: du3eh-nms77-f6msf-6ucqy-ltj4o-fg4ah-ao4ky-t5bpy-w6khb-4egvg-dqe

How to Transfer Runes from RE Wallet to BTC Wallet

To transfer $RICH to a BTC wallet, it’s very much the same. Simply use a BTC wallet address instead of an ICP wallet address.

/transfer [Amount] [BTC wallet address]

How to Swap $ICP<>$RICH In-app

You can now swap $ICP for $RICH, or $RICH for $ICP, within your RE wallet very easily.

The /preswap command allows you to view the outcomes before performing a swap.

[The Preswap function pulls up the current ICP/RICH Exchange rate for your reference.]

Let’s take a look at the /preswap and /swap commands.

Swap $ICP -> $RICH In-app

Preswap Command:

Type /preswap

I want to swap 0.5 ICP for some $RICH.

How many $RICH can I get for 0.5 ICP?

Let’s check.

Here are the outcomes returned:

Ok, I’ll take 49072.81 $RICH for 0.05 $ICP.

I’ll swap.

Immediately I receive confirmation that my $ICP has been swapped for $RICH.

Swap $RICH->$ICP In-app

If I want to swap $RICH for $ICP, it is very similar, but with no need to add “ICP” to the swap commands.

I want to swap 1000 $RICH for ICP.

How much ICP can I get?

Let’s check.

Looks fine, let’s go!

[Remember, you can always check your new wallet balance by typing command /wallet]

[❌RICH minting has completed!❌]

How to bridge HOPE-YOU-GET-RICH Runes from BTC wallet or ICP wallet to RE Wallet

👉 NOTE: The following process is currently only supported in PC browsers.

You will need your BTC wallet [Unisat or OKX] [or ICP wallet] and your RE wallet address.

Navigate to https://www.runescan.net/runes/431 and connect your BTC [or ICP wallet]:

With your wallet connected, click “Bridge”

👉NOTE: You can also choose to connect your ICP wallet here instead of BTC if you want to bridge either $ICP or $RICH to your RE wallet. Once connected, the Bridging procedures are similar.

A window will pop up asking you to connect your ICP wallet.

Here you will want to copy/paste your RE wallet address in the field that says Enter ICP Address.

👉 [Do not select Plug wallet here, use the Enter ICP Address field for RE wallet address.]

Don’t know your RE wallet address?

It’s ok, I’ll show you how to find it. Keep reading.

To find your RE wallet address, click My Wallet on the RE bot Menu, or type the command /wallet

Your PRINCIPLE ID is your RE wallet address. Just click on it and it will automatically be copied to your clipboard so that you can easily paste in the ENTER ICP ADDRESS field shown in the above image.

Example:

Once you’ve copy/pasted your RE wallet address, click “CONFIRM

Sign the transaction with your BTC wallet

Now you must wait for 12 confirmations before you can finalize the transaction. This can take 1–2 hours.

👉It is critical that you do not click Finalize until all 12 confirmations have been completed and the “Finalize” window is active.

Here is what that looks like:

As you can see here, 0/12 confirmations have been completed, so we need to wait a while.

When I check back later, I can see that all 12 confirmations have been completed and the “Finalize” button is activated (it turned blue).

So, now I can click “Finalize.”

Then I can click “Done” on the next window.

Now you can go to back Telegram and see your Runes in your RE Bot Wallet with the /wallet command to confirm your new balance.

Time to share Red Envelope with your friends!
