Google Play Podcasts Goes Live

Google Play Podcasts is now being rolled out on Android in the US and Canada. Similar to Google Play Music, this service will provide personalised recommendations based on your interests or mood.

Podcasts will also be grouped based on specific topics, like “Getting Lost In A Story” and “Learning Something New”. Any podcast successfully submitted to the Google Play Music portal will be available in the Google Play Music podcast library.

If you’re in the US or Canada, you can submit your RSS feed to Google Play Podcasts at https://play.google.com/music/podcasts/publish.

RSS feeds powered by Omny Studio support the iTunes format and can be submitted. Google Play Music’s new podcast section is now available on the web and is being rolled out to Android users, with iOS to follow soon.
