Automatic Mastering of your Audio in Omny Studio

If you’re a paying Omny Studio customer, you can now check a box to have your podcasts automatically mastered or “levelled out”.

Mastering is the final step of audio post-production. The purpose of mastering is to balance sonic elements of a stereo mix and optimize playback across all systems and media formats.

In simplistic terms, our mastering algorithm “levels out” the wave form of your audio to make the softer sounds just as loud as the louder ones. This means that if a host goes off-mic or whispers, the audio will be lifted in volume to make it easier to hear.

For Podcasters on our paid plan — it’s as simple as checking the “Auto-level this clip” button and clicking save changes.
