Tonight (Sat., Sept. 16, 2017), Canelo Alvarez (49–1–1 34 KOs) will face Gennady Golovkin (37–0 33 KOs) known as “GGG”, for various Middleweight boxing titles. This is possibly the fight of the year, if you don’t follow boxing theres a good chance you don’t know who Saul “Canelo” Alvarez or Gennady “GGG” Golovkin is but this fight will not be anything like the circus that was Mayweather vs McGregor. Canelo and GGG are fighting to decide who is the king of one of the most glamorous divisions in world boxing.

Round 1:

Right off the bat “GGG” came out swinging, throwing most of the punches in the first round, while Canelo did a great job off being consurvitive and holding back.

Round 2:

Canelo is throwing much more jabs and upper-cuts this round as he is bouncing back from that Golovkin dominated first-round.

Round 3:

Starting of the round GGG threw some good jabs but, Canelo came back with a storm of jabs, but overall the match has been very even.

Round 4:

This round was very lob sided in favor of Canelo with Golovkin throwing a decent amount of jabs on Canelo in the corner, there was a bit of tease by Canelo.

Round 5:

What a round! Best round by far, very back and forth throughout the entire round, there was a lot of taunting between both of them.

Round 6:

Round 6 was the most passive round, but controversial round because of the illegal punch by Canelo, but besides that it was very calm.

Round 7:

Golovkin is looking tired, but the sum of the fight for now has been GGG trying to go forward and Canelo taking step backs and hitting quick in-out jabs.

Round 8:

GGG bullying Canelo this round, with a storm of jabs and upper-cuts, even though Canelo hit a nice combo in the corner.

Round 9:

Very good round by both fighters in my opinion. With both fighters throwing a couple good power punches.

Round 10:

A very well dominated round by Saul “Canelo” Alvarez, making Golovkin stumble a little by throwing some power hooks. Definitely one of the most exciting rounds in Canelo’s favor.

Round 11:

Another very even round by both of the fighters. I see the fight going more to GGG side, but anything can happen in this buisness.

Round 12:

Final round of what can be the fight for the ages. Canelo storming in at “2:05” with many jabs and hooks, while Golovkin was trying to hold back and counter. It’s noticeable how both are very tired and trying to get as many punches as possible. As the match ends as a draw, there will probably be a rematch in no time.
