A New Path…
Hello! My name is Patricia and I’m from Mexico. I grew up in Toluca, the capital of State of Mexico, an hour away from Mexico City.
Since my teenage years until today, I have spent a good time volunteering with various organizations to help marginalized communities to build a better future for themselves.
And, this past year, I made a big change in my life and decided to build a career in field of Social Work. So, I have applied for some Masters on Social Welfare programs for the next Fall and awaiting the admission results now.
This blog is serving as another starting point for me, to write about my experience volunteering in the past decade, and what I’m learning today, specially posting my finding while research the ups and downs of the social welfare systems in Mexico. I like to also share quotes and excerpts from my studies, and write about people I admire, those who make this world a better place with their contributions.
I hope you find this a useful resource and looking forward to hear about your experiences and feedback in the comments. I believe we can learn plenty from others’ experiences and can borrow some from their wisdom in our own path.
