Saturn is one of the most beautiful planets in the Solar System with different colored rings that makes it even more attractive. The recent NASA rover sent back some extraordinary photos of Saturn that surely left an impact on me. These photos left me even more curious to gather information about the beautiful outer planet.

However, let’s delve into some details about Saturn.

Saturn is a sixth planet in the solar system. It has some 60 known moons, some are of the earth’s size. Saturn is also one of the outer planets that can be seen with the naked eyes, hence, it is known since ancient times.

Saturn was named after the Roman God of Agriculture and Wealth. Saturn comprises mainly of Helium and Hydrogen. One Saturn day lasts 10.7 hours and one Saturn year lasts 29 Earth years [a fact that left me awestruck].

Let’s know more about Saturn’s role in Vedic Astrology.

As you might be knowing, that Vedic Astrology differs from Western Astrology in various ways and one of them is the role of Saturn in Vedic Astrology.

Unlike Western Astrology, Saturn, in Vedic Astrology, is still considered a ruler of the zodiac sign of Aquarius [in Western Astrology, the ruling planet is Uranus — the rebel]. However, Saturn was considered the ruler of Aquarius during the ancient times and Vedic Astrology still upholds this fact.

The strength of Saturn determines the life of the native. Saturn will either make the person or break the person. If Saturn is strong then the native would be hardworking and will go after their goals without wavering. People with a strong influence of Saturn prefer to lead a disciplined life and are of a quite serious temperament. And when Saturn is weak, then the native will give up in front of hardships.

The Saturn can also lead to mental anguish as well as of unfriendly nature. A weak Saturn also makes the native prone to addictions and illnesses.
