On Purpose Round Up

Its hard to believe but On Purpose is today welcoming a new intake of Associates. This marks a first for On Purpose — the introduction of twice yearly intakes. We are also welcoming on board a whole range of new placements including Virgin Unite, A Very Good Company and Trees for Cities. Its a sign of the ever growing reach of On Purpose and its philosophy of purposeful leadership.

At On Purpose we never stop moving and doing. One of us, Saskia will literally be running a half marathon for READ International this weekend. Most of us do our bit at a slightly more sedate pace .

Last month On Purpose together with Acumen Fund hosted our inaugural evening talk on the art of storytelling. The night was led by Nick Jankel from wecreate who inspired us all to think deeper about the role of storytelling in every aspect of life and business. During World Green Building Week, we also co-hosted along with Interface a night of discussion on switching to a more sustainable career track.

The Associates have also continued to take inspiration from those around us, our trainers and our fellow Associates. As we always say, its our fellow Associates who make On Purpose. So its no surprise that a whole bunch of Associates escaped to the English countryside last weekend to rest, recharge and re-inspire.

As usual, we have also been putting pen to paper. In the last few months, we’ve shared our thoughts on social purpose businesses, sustainable business trends, social enterprise partnerships and integrating social enterprise procurement into supply chains. If you would like to hear more from us in the coming months, look out for Andy Daly who will be speaking at the Shine UnConference in November. On Purpose will also be organising a joint event in the next month with the Clore Leadership Programme and Holt International Business School.
