Sense Camp, UK
These days I am busy organising SenseCamp UK that will take place on Saturday 8th June at Hub Westminster.
SenseCamp UK will a vibrant bottom-up conference dedicated to social business. It is our second one in London and the 10th organised by MakeSense. Several of them have even been attended by the 2006 Nobel Peace Prize winner and Micro-credit entrepreneur, Mohammed Yunus.
SenseCamp UK 2013 will bring together social entrepreneurs, social business enthusiasts and the MakeSense community for inspiring talks, interactive workshops, training, networking and an unmissable party to wrap it off. My team, comprised of several OnPurpose Associate and Fellows, is really striving to strike the right mix of experts, the curious, and complete new comers to the field.
One goal of SenseCamp UK is to support the launch and growth of new MakeSense HotSpots in the UK. Make Sense is a truly international, open source community of young professionals with a stronghold in London who volunteer to put their heads together regularly to help social enterprises come up with solutions to their business challenges. The SenseMakers have developed an innovative set of problem solving methodologies that are lively and entertaining. The London community knows that the need to support social entrepreneurs are real everywhere so we are willing to empower people to do it throughout the UK.
To sum up:
1/ I love making myself useful, especially with such a great team of SenseMakers.
2/ I hope to see you there on Saturday June 8th. You’ll be one of 200 social entrepreneurs, social business enthusiasts, learning as much as you contribute. Tickets are here.
3/ If you are interested in doing what we are doing outside of London you can apply to the HotSpot KickStart program to support social entrepreneurs in your city and even get travel grant for the SenseCamp!
4/ It would be cool if you could share the info with you own network :)
