“My son has been suspended five times. He’s 3.”

“I know that I am only one person and that it will be difficult for me to change the system. But I will do my part at my kids’ preschool. I joined the parent advisory board and intend to work with it until I see change. I encourage other parents to join parent boards and attend school meetings that are open to parents. This is not the time to be silent. We must speak out.”

This woman inspires me ☺ this is why it is so annoying when people celebrate those who maintain a positive attitude in the face of prejudice and “try to not let it bother them” because those people don’t make change — and those celebrations scare people away from complaining.
