Following the theme of this week’s playlist and with the NFL Combine starting as well, here’s a throwback to Touchdown Tom’s day there 17, count ’em, 17 years ago. Just a friendly reminder that you’re looking at the GREATEST quarterback of all time. It pains me to admit it, but as a rational Giants fan I can’t deny facts. I mean we all know Eli will fall over if he walks too fast, but at the very least he had the genetics to have a chance at being somewhat successful. People wrote off Tom Brady from the start, and you can’t do anything but respect his career. I never actually gave him his props post-Super Bowl, but better late than never. This will forever go to show that getting the stud prospect is always nice and attracts all the hype, but you really never know where your sports heroes are going to come from. If you’ve been a sports fan for the better part of the last decade, cherish that time. Between Brady and LeBron James, you’ve simultaneously watched two of the GOATs in their prime doing things you may never see again.

Now for the music. Been going on an early ’00s kick recently and whenever I go back and listen, the majority of the songs still resonate with me. Tried to mix it up a little and not throw out the easy ones from the usual suspects. An assortment of RHCP, Blink-182, Death Cab for Cutie (TO), and many more to get the weekend started. Enjoy the chunes!
