Last night’s picks………..

I got caught up at the firm Christmas party last night and unfortunately didn’t get a chance to enter any lineups, but hopefully you all took advantage of some of my picks and made some cash.

Studs — Giannis, Lillard, Jrue, Wade, Parker, Turner,

Met Value — Bledsoe. C.J. McCollum, Lee, Dedmon (6x), Green,

Duds — Barbosa, Porzingis, O’Quinn, Butler, Jokic

On to tonight’s picks…….

PG

Play

Giannis ($9,300) — So he is playing the same exact team that he just dominated, and his salary went down? Yeah that makes sense. Giannis is a young stud and a future MVP candidate if he can get on a winning team. I am not worried about him being on a back-to-back. He will dominate again. I don’t care if they gameplan for him after last night, he is going to get his.

John Wall ($8,900) — I’m still not sure how this man’s salary is below $9,000. Wall < $9000 = automatic play.

Dennis Schroder ($6,600) — Balling and way too cheap.

Jrue Holiday (6,800) — Balling and way too cheap.

Fade

James Harden ($12,000) — In my mind he needs 72 points to make it worth paying up this much, and I don’t see it happening.

Sleeper

Ramon Sessions ($3,700) — Only because he is starting, but he doesn’t have too much upside.

SG

Play

Avery Bradley ($6,500) — even though Thomas may be coming back, Bradley will likely continue to shoulder the load until Thomas is 100%

Sean Kilpatrick ($5,600) — The kid loves to shoot and he is on one of the fastest paced teams in the NBA. I’m not worried about Jeremy Lin.

Fade

Dwyane Wade — I’ve been playing him all season, but Old man river on a back-to-back? No thank you.

Sleeper

Evan Fournier ($5,900) — Well the day has come, that I recommend playing Fournier in DFS. He gets a great matchup against the team with the fastest pace in the league and you want to attack the Net’s perimeter defense.

Tony Allen ($5,000) — Playing at the “Grindhouse” with a limited roster, the Grizz will rely heavily on Tony Allen who is always a lock for a good number of rebounds and steals and as of late has been making some buckets, scoring almost 20 in 4 of his last 6 games.

SF

Play

Nicholas Batum ($7,100) — With Kemba out of this game for personal reasons, much of Kemba’s usage will fall on the shoulders of Batum who has already been ballin out this season.

Jabari Parker ($6,600) — See Giannis.

Jae Crowder ($5,400) — Getting a ton of minutes for the Celtics and is averaging 14.4 points, 4.5 boards, 3.2 assists and 2.3 threes over his last 10 games.

Robert Covington ($5,300) — Covington plays really well in steaks, lets hope it continues tonight against the Lakers, who DON’T PLAY DEFENSE.

Fade

Hayward ($7,900) — See Gobert. Slow pace, low scoring.

Sleeper

Thabo Sefolosha ($4,900) — Thabo seems to have locked down the starting spot and is putting in solid minutes and can easily meet value.

Normal Powell ($3,900) — DeMarre Carroll will miss today’s game which means that Powell will get the start. He has made 5 starts this season and has scored 31.8, 23.3, 14, 28.8 and 38.3 DK points in those starts. He clearly has the upside in what should be a fast paced game in Toronto.

PF

Play

Paul Millsap ($8,000) — Toronto will have no answer for the hot Millsap. His rebounding has been trending upwards and he is averaging over 20 real points over his past 5 games.

Trevor Booker ($6,100) — Booker seems to be the defacto Center on this team, considering that he gets double the rebounds than the real Center Brook Lopez. He crushed value last night and had an off shooting night. Neither the Nets nor the Magic are a good basketball team, so Booker should continue to pull down a ton of rebounds in this high paced offense.

Fade

Boogie Cousins — ($10,900) — Cousins is one of my favorite players in the league, but playing at the “Grindhouse” is always tough on Centers. In my mind he needs around 65 DK points to pay off and I think that will be tough in a slow paced, defensive game.

Sleeper

Jahli Okafor ($5,100) — Embiid did not participate in morning shoot around which is good news for Okafor. Okafor is a good play regardless of Embiid’s status, but if he is out, Okafor is a must play.

C

Play

Hassan Whiteside ($8,700) — DeAndre Jordan is old and just kind of flops around in the paint, Hassan is a young stud and should dominate. Take advantage of this price before it creeps up around Boogie.

Andre Drummond ($7,600) — Always criminally under owned, take advantage of it. He is one of the most consistent performers at the center position.

Rudy Gobert ($7,000) — This game is going to be painfully slow. Dallas is supposedly #1 DVP against the Center position, but this doesn’t mean anything because Dallas is one of the slowest teams in the league and when teams go off on them, the Center normally doesn’t have to do much. In a slow game, you want to target the Center position, especially a defensive center, because he is going to be the one to slow down the game and grab all of the rebounds. Gobert is the only play I like from this game and will likely be a staple in my lineups.

Al Horford ($6,300) — His price is insanely low so I’m going to give him another shot tonight against the Hornets who won’t have an answer for him.

Fade

Serge Ibaka ($6,200) — Ibaka is wildly inconsistent and he does not rebound as well as he should for a PF/C. No part of me can play him with confidence.

Sleeper

Cody Zeller ($4,300) — ALWAYS USE BIGS v. BOSTON. Along with NEVER PLAY RONDO, this is one of my rules of NBA DFS.

Jon Leuer ($4,200) — He is averaging more than 5x value on the season and is seeing between 23–30 minutes off of the bench. I love him in a matchup v. the Pistons tonight. Leuer doesn’t waste time when he is in the game, he usually gets up double digit shots and pulls down 6–10 rebounds.

DISCLAIMER — These are simply my thoughts on what I’ve been thinking. While I think my intuition is usually on point, use these picks at your own risk. These are merely a suggestion and I am not responsible for any crappy picks. That being said, I put thought and research into these picks and actually play them in my own lineups. I want to help my fellow DFSers who only play one or two lineups per night take down the giant players in the DFS industry.
