EAT.
C & B

If you’re walking on East 7th Street just south of Tompkins Square Park, don’t blink or you’ll miss a fantastic little cafe behind a 12 foot storefront called C & B. Kitchen counter up front and a few tables to the rear, C & B serves up some mighty fine sandwiches and egg bowls that will make your toes curl. The one pictured here is the chicken and egg bowl, which consists of a bed of shredded thigh and roasted spuds topped with an undressed handful of mache and a delectably scrambled and peppered egg. Sounds simple, because it is, and that’s it’s beauty. The chicken is so perfectly braised and the egg so spot-on-up-to-par that it’s worth making your way over to Alphabet City for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Also on the menu is a roasted mushroom and egg bowl, a veggie and curry bowl, the raved about pig and egg sandwich and an ever-evolving roster of specials that are sure to please. C & B also has great coffee and free wi-fi, so it’s the perfect place to take a meeting while brainstorming your next start-up venture or tat sleeve!s

DO.
From the Collection: 1960–1969 at the MoMA

At times wildly experimental, colorful and thought provoking, the art and design from the 1960’s ranks high on our cool quotient. So when we heard about the exhibition at MoMA featuring works exclusively from that period, we knew it was going to be a “DO.” From the Collection: 1960–1969 at the Museum of Modern Art presents this singular era with works from all of its curatorial departments and the stuff on display is all over the map…paintings, sculptures, photographs, industrial design and short films. Plenty of esoteric treasures, too, like the huge wall of original psychedelic concert posters or a mint condition ’61 Jaguar E-Type. We’re pleased to report you don’t need a fine arts degree to enjoy it as it’s not overly precious and doesn’t condescend. It’s fluorescent and thoughtful and filled with all manner of objects that make you go hmmmm. Bring the kid, your Tinder date or just go solo. There’s a little something mod for everyone.

BUY.
Bouqs

Summer’s over. Back to work. Back to school. Back in the groove. We’re down to groove again, but jumping back on the September roller coaster can be jaw-jitteringly stressful! For spouses. For colleagues. For kids and for crushes alike. So how about you make yourself a little ray of light to whomever you know is having a rough transition from beach to pile of leaves? Download BOUQS from the App Store, spend two minutes plugging in your info and order up a beautifully styled bouquet of fresh cut flowers in less time than it takes to order a half-caf double pumpkin spice macchiato. Doesn’t matter if you’re the daintiest of daints or a barrel-chested gator wrestler, a tasteful arrangement from this clever start-up can make the seasonal transition just a hair easier and lift any mood one notch closer to great. There’s even a section of unique arrangements under the pithy header, I’M SORRY. Even for the nearly-perfect, this little genie of an app certainly makes for a handy “Get Out Of Jail Free” card.

No one knows New York like we do! We’re in the neighborhood every day helping people to buy, discover, live and sell. Feel free to get in touch with any and all real estate questions. We’d be happy to help!
