EAT.
Bar Sardine

Fedora Burger at Bar Sardine. Forget about Keith McNally’s uber-hyped new cheeseburger and cozy up to Bar Sardine’s Fedora Burger: half a pound of premium chuck and brisket served medium rare with smoked cheddar, pickled cukes, red onions, BBQ mayo and crispy shoestring potatoes all sandwiched between a perfectly toasted egg bun. It’s not a contender. It’s THE best burger in Manhattan right now (and it’s only 13 bucks!)

DO.
Dubspot

Learn to DJ. Your high school girlfriend always said you had a flair for mix tapes. Take that talent to the next level at Dubspot’s Friday Night Spin Session, where you can play with pro DJ equipment in a small class setting and learn how to scratch vinyl and drop on the one like a true mixmaster all for $125. (Just don’t quit your day job, Jam Master Jay.)

BUY.
Brooklyn Butcher

Brooklyn Butcher Block’s iBlock. Considering the last time you actually dusted off your hardcover version of The Joy Of Cooking was 2003, we think Brooklyn Butcher Block’s inclusion of an iPad slot for your digital recipes is the best thing since sliced onions. Each one is locally made with love by a dude named Nils in his woodshop in Gowanus. (The dark walnut end grain version is on our own wish list.)
