EAT.
Seamore’s

The dilemma: you’re supposed to meet friends after work and as the weather has taken a turn for the awesome, you think, “Great Odin’s Raven! I wish there was a spot we could get some fresh, delicious food and beverages outside and do some quality people watching.” The answer? Seamore’s on Broome Street. Roll on up to this bright, beachy Nolita canteen, grab an umbrella’d sidewalk table and promptly order the legendary fresh and locally sourced poke. Everyone is crazy about this Hawaiian delicacy lately, and for good reason. Pronounced “POH-keh”, the version at Seamore’s is simply the most delicate of sushi-grade yellowfin tuna, citrusy ponzu, crunchy peanut, scallion, sesame and chunks of ripe avocado all nonchalantly tossed in a bowl. Spoon it up with a blue corn chip and wash it down with a Montauk Summer Ale or some ice cold Vinho Verde and enjoy the warmth on your face, the temporarily dry breezes and the majestic three week wonder that is Manhattan’s glorious spring season.

DO.
Brooklyn Grange

New York is a restlessly evolving metropolis, whose neighborhood denizens have been known to cycle from blue collar to golden monocle, heavy industrial to light hipster, Dilbert to Bugaboo, military shipyard to farm….wait, FARM? Yup, that’s right. Right across the East River at the Brooklyn Navy yard, there is a sprawling 65,000 rooftop farm called Brooklyn Grange growing everything from sweet rainbow-colored heirloom tomatoes to the most fresh and spicy arugula we’ve ever had. Sign up here for a 45 minute guided tour of this, the world’s largest rooftop farm. It’s only 10 bucks a person for killer views, agricultural inspiration and a worm wiggling on your palm. Who needs Columbia County? Beat that, Ma Joad.

BUY.
Illesteva

Since this is a safe space, Natalie can openly admit to a serious addiction for these handmade Italian shades from Illesteva. Whether you gravitate toward their timeless quintessential shapes or prefer funkier, chunkier eyewear, you’ll undoubtedly find these specs the ideal companions for both busy city streets or a relaxing beach hideaway. And using some kind of Italian magic, these luxuriously made sunnies can be obtained at a decidedly reasonable price. So whether you go down to their chic little Soho boutique or go the online route to shop, you too can easily develop an uncommon jonesing for these acetate beauties.

No one knows New York like we do! We’re in the neighborhood every day helping people to buy, discover, live and sell. Feel free to get in touch with any and all real estate questions. We’d be happy to help!
