Why You’re Destined For Greatness

A Letter To My Eighteen Year Old Self

First of all, don’t worry about who Molly Maguire is.

I could tell you but you wouldn’t believe me anyway.

I tried to contact you in a lot of different ways and since you’re reading this, I must have finally succeeded.

I could tell you the craziest stories about your future but I only have three minutes.

So let’s dive into the deep end.

And jump into the rabbit hole.

Figuring Out Who You Are

You’re just eighteen now.

That means you’re technically an adult, congratulations!

But now the hard part begins. Now you’ll have to live your life and find out who you are.

And especially finding out who you are is truly difficult.

Because everyone will try to push or pull you towards their goals: your parents, friends, family, peers, teachers and society at large.

They all have an agenda and you’re part of it. But you’re happiness isn’t.

That’s why you need to find out who you truly are, away from the crowd.

And take your time. Life doesn’t start until you know who you are anyway.

Life starts when you have a purpose.

Escaping The Mental Prison

There’s another thing.

You’re sound asleep now.

There’s nothing you could have done to prevent it. Almost everyone is sound asleep.

At least, everyone you know.

But in two weeks time, the twin pillars will crumble and that is going to be the start of your awakening.

You are trapped in a mental prison complex and you need to escape. This scene from your favourite movie is true in more ways than one:

Morpheus: The Matrix is everywhere. It is all around us. Even now, in this very room. You can see it when you look out your window or when you turn on your television. You can feel it when you go to work… when you go to church… when you pay your taxes. It is the world that has been pulled over your eyes to blind you from the truth.

Neo: What truth?
Morpheus: That you are a slave, Neo. Like everyone else you were born into bondage. Into a prison that you cannot taste or see or touch. A prison for your mind.

You can escape this mental prison complex if you wake up. But you have to do that soon.

So start trusting your gut and stop hiding in the herd.

You’re going to wake up and fulfil your potential.

It is known.

Building Your Dreams

Don’t let my words scare you.

Because everything always works out in the end. The future is going to be amazing. I can absolutely guarantee that to you.

Just keep focusing on improving yourself every day and keep your mind as open as you can.

Eventually you’ll find your purpose in life and you’re going to execute against that.

But please, don’t get distracted by the darkness.

The darkness is everything that tries to lure you away from your purpose. It’s everything that tries to prevent your spiritual awakening.

You’re capable of much more than you can imagine. If you can dream it, you can do it.

That’s it. That’s the secret.

Don’t let anybody tell you otherwise. Don’t let the herd pull you back down.

Don’t let the darkness keep you small.

I can’t go into detail.

But let me tell you that you’re an amazing human being that’s going to make a difference in this realm.

So keep yourself in optimal shape:

A flexible mind in a flexible body.

The universe needs you at your best.

Don’t ever forget that.
