We heard from a great company, Catarse, that uses Kifi as its curated knowledge channel.

Catarse, led by Rodrigo Maia, brother, Thiago and three other partners, is Brazil’s largest crowdfunder, according to its founders. So far, 223,000 people have backed at least one project on the platform, and projects have raised 32 million Brazilian Reals on its platform.

With a team of 26 people spread across 12 cities in three countries, it’s vital that everyone have the same pool of knowledge. So for instance, the team is onboarding new hires into Kifi as a critical part of the company’s infrastructure. Among its libraries are those that contain tools for designing like a Jedi, designing habit-forming products and one about the backlash against the sharing economy.

“We were trying to find tools for managing and sharing knowledge, and my brother came up with Kifi,” Maia said by email. “Soon enough, he, Luis and myself were using Kifi and having conversations through the app about the texts, topics and articles that we were reading, researching etc. It was a fast and seamless adoption.”

Maia said his team uses Kifi for its most important content. “We use it to distribute knowledge in a more focused way, one that highlights the content and reduces noises from other sources. We share a lot of things, using a lot of other channels, but when we share through Kifi, it means that the content is important to be shared and should be checked. For us, it is a sort of curated channel, where only very useful content is shared.”

Maia said for him personally that Kifi reminds him to catalog what he is studying. In a world of noise, linking notes together is one of the most useful ideas of all.

“For now, I am acting as a trailblazer, a scout for the team. I am gathering knowledge while everyone else is doing other stuff. But when the moment to share this knowledge comes, I will have the most important content that I have found organized in a Library in Kifi,” said Maia. “This saves me a lot of time. Plus, I can even onboard other team members into my process now, due to the collaborative libraries feature. I am working alone now, but I can easily put my co-workers on the same page that I am, and that saves time.”
