Kifi: The Best Way To Organize Content For Your Newsletter
One of the most powerful marketing tools in your reach is an email newsletter. Whether you are a solopreneur pulling together a network of followers, a startup founder working on your business, or in charge of marketing for a new company, aggregating content is key.
We recently spoke with Melanie Nelson, a consultant specializing in scientific informatics, about how she uses Kifi to pull her newsletter together. She uses her newsletter as a marketing tool to help sustain her business, which does project management for bioinformatics companies.
“Science as a worldwide endeavor produces a lot of data,” she says. “What you’re actually producing is knowledge.”
Managing that knowledge is a big challenge — that’s what she focuses on from her San Diego home.
Her consulting business, in turn, helps support some of her entrepreneurial dreams — she is starting a small publishing and educational company.
She spoke to us about the high-end value of Kifi for people working in the knowledge economy. “When I’m surfing the web or doing the research, it’s so unobtrusive,” she said. “You can just keep following the thread where it goes while you are still saving content.”
Nelson puts the articles she finds in a library, goes back later and categorizes them using hashtags. Among those she’s kept lately: how long hours hurt productivity, and an interesting article about how “high utliization” — that drive to be overbusy — actually hurts success.
“It’s a very low-energy tool for organization,” she said. “It lets my brain think about what does this mean, while I’m saving it.”
That uninterrupted flow is a crucial part of Kifi’s design and one of the wonders of our product, which has a reputation — one we’re proud of — for being super-intuitive.
