The FBI holds a strange document that put the woo in flying saucers. Fact, delusion, or educated guess?

Day 1.

The interdimensional explanation of UFOs arrived on the same day as the flying saucer reported at Roswell. And it is all woo.

First, a quick review of how we got to where we are.

The modern UFO era began on July 8, 1947, when Walter Haut, the public information officer of the 509th Bomb Group at Roswell Army Air Field [RAAF] (A-bombs R Us and Only Us) sent out a press release to report that a “flying disk” had been recovered. Nukes and UFOs started out together at an early date. But, anyway, oops.

Day 2.

By the next day, however, the Pentagon had shuffled some paperwork and decided that transparency was a no go. A news conference was quickly called at Fort Worth Army Airfield with a shiny officer, Brigadier General Roger Ramey (8th Air Force commander), who proceeded to doctor — er, correct the record.
