A First Time for Everything

1961 culture montage by Stellar

It Happened One Night

The official sign is technically wrong. The Hills did discuss their sighting publicly, filing reports with the Air Force and NICAP, and telling their Unitarian Universalist church group and a UFO study group about it. It was not “leaked” to the Boston Traveler. In reality, hard-nosed journalist John Luttrell Sr. reported the story the old fashioned way — he tracked down sources, got copies of reports and wrote about it. Luttrell deserves the credit for breaking the story in 1965.

Stand by Me

When the night has come
And the land is dark
And the moon is the only light we’ll see
No I won’t be afraid
Oh, I won’t be afraid
Just as long as you stand, stand by me
