THE BEATLES WROTE AND PERFORMED THE SOUNDTRACK to the lives of many millions of people through the years. If you were lucky enough to dial into the phenomenon when it was happening, it was like taking a personal Magical Mystery Tour with them.

Everyone’s story of their relationship to The Beatles will be different but that’s the point. Their music, their personalities, their driving of the culture — it was (and is) endlessly expressive.

This is only my version of their story told through my life. Yours will be unique and different. Your long and winding road will always be special to you.

People have always had “where were you” moments — Pearl Harbor, JFK’s assassination, landing on the Moon, 9/11. For baby boomers, they can also include the first Beatles appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show, Sunday night, February 9th, 1964.

The new three-day, six-hour, Peter Jackson documentary, The Beatles: Get Back, starts to air November 25th on Disney+.
