The long and slender fingers of her smooth hand trace his jaw and settle lightly on his lips. The sinews of his neck flex as he nudges his head ever slightly, catching the tip of her thumb at the break of his lips, the weight of which exposes the pearled stones hidden behind the fortress of his shapely mouth. Stealing a glance at her, his breath catches. Their gazes lock and his mind wanders backwards into the world behind his eyes, his thoughts plunging down deep into the secret primordial chaos of carnal desire. Thought and desire meet and thread their way lower, further still until connecting finally with the soulful essence of empathy. His heart breaks as his lips part; he loves her.
