Coca- Cola Generations In Jazz Festival to Return for Seventh Year

Featured acts include Dave Holland, Joey Alexander, and more

Dizzy’s Club Coca–Cola will host Jazz at Lincoln Center’s seventh annual Coca- Cola Generations In Jazz Festival from September 1 to October 2 in New York City.

The festival will feature nearly two hundred artists whose careers span three decades, offering a blend of music past and present.

“This year’s festival features a plethora of jazz masters that span the styles of jazz while showcasing some of our music’s finest rising stars,” Jason Olaine, Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Director of Programming and Touring said in a press release. “For 32 days, we’ll salute legendary figures and showcase some classic, classy singers. We’re also starting a new series Big Band Mondays that will highlight some great large ensembles here in New York City. If you love jazz, you’ll want to be here many, many times in September.”

Featured artists include bassist Dave Holland, saxophonist Dayna Stephens, pianist Joanne Brackeen, saxophonist Jimmy Greene, vibraphonist Stefon Harris, trumpeter Marquis Hill, singer Marilyn Maye, pianist Joey Alexander, saxophonist Ben Wendel, saxophonist Sharel Cassity, and pianist Randy Weston.

All events are ticketed and vary in price. Students will receive a discount, and a select number of performances will be made available via a live web stream.
