Day Three at Newport

A recap of my final day at the Newport Jazz Festival.

Our third day at Newport was less eventful, as we interviewed only three people. The first interview was with photographer Kyra Kverno, who discussed her career and shared a great David Bowie story.

We then sat down with trumpeter Taylor Haskins, who discussed his career both as a musician and as a composer of songs for commercials and film.

Finally, we talked with the great guitarist Nels Cline, who discussed his career, atypical education, and his path that, to his surprise, led him to Newport.

Overall, it was a phenomenal three days and I would just like to thank JazzTimes for letting be part of it. Once again, I will post the interviews here as they become available.
