It runs and runs and runs: Has Lenovo succeeded in creating the VW Beetle among Chromebooks? But the Duet 5 has much more to offer than just long battery life.
Let’s be honest: I was not enthusiastic about tablets for a long time. After several attempts with an Android tablet and an iPad, I eventually gave up on the format. The bigger my smartphone display grew over the years, the less sense I could see in a form factor that is “too little to live on, too much to die.”
But as is so often the case, things were to turn out differently. All of a sudden, journalist colleagues and acquaintances alike got excited about a device that is not only practical, complete, and small, but also inexpensive: With the Duet, Lenovo put together a complete package containing a tablet, keyboard, and touchpad more than a year ago, which made the Chromebook brand known far beyond its previously targeted customer base of schools, universities, and companies.
