The Post-Ownership Society by Monica Potts, in the Washington Monthly

Monica Potts, a freelance writer, has written an excellent article on “The Sharing Economy”: The Post-Ownership Society.

In this article she articulately describes the instability of the “Sharing Economy”. She writes that when she looks at the older generation, who has gained some measure of stability, this seems unobtainable for her.

The “sharing economy” helps her survive in an unstable employment landscape, but it is also an engine of exploitation. This is a thoughtful article that should be read by anyone interested in the “On Demand” economy.
