About Us

There are a lot of very helpful software development blogs. It seems like all corners of the internet contain amazing developers who work on challenging and fufilling projects and get to use shiny new tech. There are blogs from leading tech companies like Google and Netflix that tell us how awesome it is to work for a legendary company, solve unsolved problems, and create cool open source tools for the entire industry. There are the innovators like Pivotal who are simultaneously creating the platform at the center of the PaaS revolution and showing us creative new ways to reliably deliver software and keep their developers happy and interested. They share useful code snippets, explain difficult concepts, and challenge us to approach common problems in new ways.

This blog is none of those things.

This blog is for the developers that struggle to fit learning about the next great javascript library or open source tool in between parent-teacher conferences, having a life for yourself, or — and let’s not be too ridiculous here — getting some sleep. It is for the developers stuck maintaining a pile of spaghetti legacy code. It is for the developers struggling to turn the ridiculous salesman’s promises into reality. It is for the unsung heroes who keep their head down, who plug away every day, who try to do the right thing for their customer and their users. It’s for everyone who needs a place to vent.
