Creation.

The drive to create is ingrained deep in our DNA.

It’s primal.

We want to rip each other’s clothes off because deep down we know it’s why we’re all here… we were created to keep creating.

Yet, I don’t believe this drive to create life exists solely in the form of sex. I believe we’re driven to create life in the form of work too.

Some of us are driven to build businesses, design clothes, write books or cook food. Others are driven to heal people, make them look beautiful or help them feel more confident.

Regardless, in all of us is a piece of work we’re driven to create… a change in the world we see behind closed eyes… new life we dream of breathing breathe into.

We ignore it, pretending it’s not there, but it’s just as much a part of us as our hearts and lungs are. Sooner or later we must give in, we must accept that to create is to be human.

And to ignore that drive is the only sin.

P.S. One day these one minute writings will be a big book called “One Minute, Please.” Can I let you know when that day comes? You can say yes, here.
