Human beings fear things. The fight-or-flight response is wired into our makeup. And so we survive thanks to our fears (and how we respond to them). Unfortunately…

Many people live in a perpetual state of fear and anxiety because they haven’t learned how to acquire knowledge and wisdom, manage their fears (and the rest of their emotions), and set proper goals and expectations.

Enter Solomon’s ancient wisdom:

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction. (Proverbs 1:7, KJV)

We’ve already looked at this verse in three different ways:

Now, we take a fourth and (for now) final look at this verse with a quick observation.

We’re going to fear things. The best way to navigate those fears is by keeping our eyes on the Lord — and our life focused on the Lord.
