Mommy always wakes up, eventually. She has to get ready for her friends. She does her hair, arranging the curls that we share and applying her eyeliner in that special way that makes her eyes even prettier than they already are. Her eyes are like the chocolate covered almonds we both love, same colour and shape as the candy. After she is ready and looking extra pretty, Mommy puts something in our pot on the hotplate. It’s usually canned spaghetti or soup. We eat it with crackers. Mostly just I eat and Mommy watches me and nibbles on the same cracker until I am done.
